Career Pulse - Inspiring the Next Generation of Bridgetines
The Past Pupils’ Association successfully hosted “Career Pulse”, the Post O/L Career Development and Leadership Programme, bringing together an exceptional panel of accomplished past pupils to guide and inspire our O/L students.

We were honoured to welcome a diverse group of Bridgetines who generously shared their professional journeys and success stories. For many, this marked a meaningful return to their Alma Mater after several years, and they expressed great joy in giving back to the school that helped shape their foundations.

Through insightful discussions and engaging interactions, students gained valuable perspectives on career pathways, leadership, adaptability, and personal growth. The programme was especially impactful due to the students’ enthusiastic participation and thought provoking questions.

The programme was very well received and served as an inspiring and empowering experience for the students, reinforcing the strong bond between Bridgetines across generations.
There were notes of appreciation and positive vibes shared by the membership.

Bridgetine Spirit
An inspiring and highly interactive professional development programme was conducted for the teachers of the Collegiate School by past pupil, Andrea Jayatilake. The session was thoughtfully designed to focus on the vital role educators play in shaping, guiding, and empowering the Bridgetines of tomorrow.
Through a series of engaging discussions, reflective activities, and the sharing of real-life experiences, the programme provided valuable insights into nurturing students to become confident, resilient, and future-ready young women. The discussions emphasized the importance of mentorship, empathy, adaptability, and purposeful guidance in today’s rapidly evolving world.
Andrea’s session also served as a meaningful platform for teachers to reflect on their own journeys as educators and reaffirm their commitment to holistic education—one that goes beyond academics to foster character, leadership, and a strong sense of identity in every student.
No Days Off - Consistency drives ordinary to extraordinary
The Past Pupils’ Association of St. Bridget’s Convent organised an afternoon session with Yevan David, Sri Lanka’s rising motorsport talent, who has already made his mark on the international racing circuit through his dedication, discipline, and passion for excellence. His journey is a true testament to what consistency and hard work can achieve at a young age
Our sports students were inspired by an energizing and motivational session conducted by Yevan, where he shared valuable insights on perseverance, mindset, and striving for greatness.

We are especially proud to celebrate the Bridgetine connection, as Yevan is the grandson of Dr. Swinitha Ranasinghe, Past President of the SBC PPA – a beautiful reflection of legacy and inspiration across generations

Model Bridgetine Leadership Programme
The Model Bridgetine Leadership Programme was conducted for the newly appointed Prefect Board (2026/27) of the Collegiate School on 15th March 2026. Rooted in the belief that our shared experiences hold the power to shape and uplift those who follow, this initiative brought together Past Bridgetines in a meaningful act of giving back to the school.
Led with dedication and purpose, the programme sought to nurture a new generation of leaders – “Vibrant Shepherdesses with compassion”-grounded in faith, guided by values, and strengthened through leadership.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Past Pupil Ms. Andrea Jayatilleke, whose generous contribution of time and expertise played a significant role in inspiring and mentoring the young leaders.
As we continue this journey, we remain committed to fostering a culture where each generation uplifts the next, ensuring that this chain of guidance, growth, and inspiration remains unbroken.
